Aunt Janice's Birthday

Jeff has started Physical Therapy on his neck and it is rough for him. This night at the dinner he wasn't feeling good. But we couldn't miss Aunt Janice's Birthday dinner. It was at one of her favorite Chinese Resturaunts. The food was good and so was the company. Jeff's parents were there and Verla and Jack, Janice's sister. Can you believe some one other than in my family is named Verla. When I told Jeff my middle name when we were dating I thought he would laugh like all my other friends but he just said, "Hey my Aunts name is Verla." Anyway we stayed there for three hours but we had to go home and get to our kiddos. So an hour later I called Jeff's parents and they were still there. Good times!

We had my brother and his family over and colored eggs on saturday. On easter Sunday we enjoyed conference and had Jeff's parents and Aunt and Uncle over for dinner. Aunt Janice baked a turkey. Yummy turkey dinner!

Madison and her friends did the mini clinics for the showcase. They danced to Miley Cyrus. They did really good and enjoyed themselves. They even got their 2nd grade teacher Miss Rindlisbacher to come and watch them. They thought that was pretty neat. The night before I went to a Silhouette reunion in the library at HHS and had dinner. I was one of the older Silhouettes and that was sad to see but I still had fun. The current Silhouettes did a fashion show with most all of the past costumes. That brought back many good memories. For attending the dinner they made a kick girl that hung at the showcase. SFL!

Jumpin Jacks

My parents watched my kids and my sisters kids while they were out of town and while I went to work and Jeff was in California for a Drs. checkup. So they packed up the kids and went to Jumpin Jacks. Becca wasn't sure of the big blow up slides but later she was bouncin by herself. Yeah! The cousins had a blast together!

Autumn and Paxton slept over and the girls had fun playing dress up and Paxton loved being cuddled. Autumn and Becca could have stayed up all night if we let them but we had to seperate them just so they could get some sleep. Clayten loves to hold Paxton as well and play with him. They are little buds!

Jeff's neck surgery

Jeff had surgery on his neck in California on January 27th. The Doctor had to fix his surgery he had back in March of 2008 by fusing C6 and C7 again. He also had to fuse C5 and C6. Surgery went well! He was in California for a couple of weeks. I missed him soooo much. It was hard not being there and taking care of him. Luckily his sister, Kristina, lived 30 minutes away and brought him home from the hospital and took care of him.

Rebecca is two! How time flies. Rebecca is such a sweet girl. She loves to cuddle. She is a daddy's girl. She loves to tease. We wouldn't be a complete family without her.

Madison's 9th Birthday Party

Madison wanted to go sledding for her birthday party so we loaded the kids up with the help of a friend and my sisters Julee and Theressa. Earlier Julee and I staked out some hills where we could go and found a nice hill by her house out in West Jordan. I didn't think we would have such a problem with no snow in West Valley the end of January. The kids had a blast and would have stayed there all day if we let them. So we loaded up the kids again and went home and had donuts and hot cocoa. We opened presents and then Madison played sing it with her friends.
It was a great day!

New Year New Hair

I have had long hair for about 5 years now and so I was needing a change. It was sad cutting off my ten inches of hair but I donated it to Locks of Love so that made me feel better. Hollie Ellis cut and styled my hair really cute. I wish I could have her do my hair everyday. I swear you come home after getting your hair done and it's perfect and then the next day you have to do it and you can never do it the same as they did. I try! Well everyone was in shock when they saw me but most seemed to like my hair. Even Jeff did that loves my hair long. It was an adjustment not using as much shampoo and conditioner and actually doing my hair every morning instead of pulling it back in a pony tail. All in all it was a good change.

Family Christmas Parties!

We had my family Christmas party before Christmas. The grandkids put on a nativity scene. Clayten was one of the three wise men, Madison was a shepard and Rebecca was a spectator. It was cute to watch all the kids! We ate dinner and opened presents. A week later we had Jeff's side of the families Christmas party in Kaysville at Marshall and Jill's house. We ate soup and rolls. Later the cousins opened presents. It was a good night to just sit around and chat with the adults while the kids played downstairs.

We were really blessed this year with help from family and friends. With Jeff's doctor taking him off work the end of November and waiting for his surgery on his neck. Those that helped gave our kids a wonderful Christmas. Someone also did the 12days of Christmas for our family and it was fun to see the kids rush to the door when they knocked and tried to see who it was.

Indoor Soccer

Madison and Clayten played indoor soccer with their cousins. They had a really good time. It was Madison's first time and she did really well. She was the shortest on her team and every other team they played but she didn't back down and went after the ball like my tough girl. Clayten's coach was his Uncle Gregg. He scored two goals in the last game. He said they were for me and Jeff. What a sweet boy! It was fun watching the kids play! It made me want to get out there and play as well.

Halloween

We started the day off with the kids parade. Madison was Gabriela from High School Musical but she forgot to wear her microphone headset for the parade. Clayten was bumble bee transformer but he couldn't wear his mask to school. After the parade I helped in Clayten's class with Halloween bingo. I wasn't able to help Madison's class but spent time with her at recess. Later I sprayed Madison's hair black. It was cool looking but that stuff gets everywhere. Then we were off to trunk or treat. Jeff wasn't done with work yet so I had my neighbors mom pass out our candy while I took the kids around. Rebecca was so cute saying tik or teat. There was still some candy left when we finished so the kids passed out the rest. Well Rebecca didn't she just ate the candy. After that Jeff was done with work so we made the rounds to the Grandparents houses. It was a fun Halloween!

General Conference Weekend

Jeff went to Canada on his mission. He baptized Eustace Saul and has kept in touch with him. Eustace has always wanted to go to General Conference so he and his wife, Patricia came to visit us for a week and they were able to go. We took them sight seeing, went to the Salt Lake Temple and just hung out and had a good time.

Rebecca has to go to bed with her babies. The big baby was mine from when I was a little girl and then there is another little baby. So when it is nap time or bed time she says babies babies and that means she is ready to sleep. She takes care of those babies and loves and cuddles them. So darn cute!

Jeff's parents have a condo in Park City that they let us stay in for a couple of days every year. The kids love to go here and swim. One of the nights it was only Jeff and I and we just relaxed and sat in the hot tub and went out to eat to a resturaunt that we hadn't been to in forever. We had a really much needed night to ourselves. The next day we packed up the kids without them knowing and then went and got them at the babysitters house and told them we needed to run some errands. It was Clayten's birthday and he was bummed we weren't doing anything fun that day. We got to the condo and I ran in to get our new keys. We had to change rooms because of leak in the ceiling of the bathroom. Anyway I come out and say, "Okay we are done let's go home and Clayten says, "Oh man that was stupid I should have stayed home." We laughed and said just kidding we are staying here for the night for your birthday. The kids eyes got so big and they were soooo excited! We had a good time swimming and being together as a family. Now Madison wants a suprise for her birthday hum.... what to do? Thanks Mom and Dad Lynn for watching the kids and letting us stay in Park City!

Our family went to Jackson Hole and drove up into Yellowstone Park the end of July. Jeff did some trade work and we got a condo for a week. We had Jeff's brothers family come for half of the week and then Jeff's parents came for the other half. We really had a fun time! The kids got to see a Bear for the first time. We also saw a Moose close up and saw many other animals. We love Jackson Hole! It is so relaxing and fun! We are going to make this vacation our family tradition.

We went to Lake Powell in July with Jeff's brother and stayed on his houseboat. We usually go by ourselves but this year we decided to take the whole family. 4th of July fireworks

Our family did some fireworks in our front yard for the 4th of July. The whole time Rebecca was saying, Wow, Wow, Wow! I thought they would scare her but she loved them. Madison and Clayten loved chasing down the parachutes from the fireworks.
Our neighbors came over and watched too and brought Rebecca an icecream cone. She enjoyed herself!

California Vacation

In May we drove to California and stayed in Shaun and Jackie's condo and Jeff's sister Kristina met us there too. We had a great time! The cousins had so much fun together! We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Universal Studios, and the beach. We stayed a week but wished we could have stayed longer. Enjoy the pictures!

Hunter High Silhouettes Alumni Dance

For about a month I practiced with other Alumni girls for a dance that we performed at during Hunter High Silhouettes showcase. I was able to dance with some of my State Champ girls and it was so awesome! It was fun to see the girls that I danced with for the two years I was on drill team. It brought back many memories. We all practiced very hard and I think we did well! It was so fun to dance again. SFL!!!

Madison's Baptism Day!!!!!

It was a special Day! Madison was so excited! And a little nervous. I just kept looking at her in awe because she is my daughter and is eight and getting baptized. I wanted the day to be so perfect and it was. We arrived at the church early which is a odd for me. Took some pictures and waited for the program to start. There were so many people who came and supported Madison. The program went well with Grandma Lynn talking about Baptism and Clayten giving a talk about the Holy Ghost. I don't think the people in the back heard him but Madison did and that is all that matters. He did a good job! I helped him and both of our hearts were beating so fast! Jeff baptized her and her Grandpa Lynn confirmed her. Madison said the water wasn't that cold and she had the biggest smile when she came out of the water. I went to help her get dressed and she was shivering so bad. It was such a perfect day! I am so proud of Madison and she is such a great example to me. We love you Madison!!!

Our baby girl is 1 years old. She is such a joy in our lives. The past year has gone by so fast. She has been such a good baby. And a blessing to have in our family. She gets so many loves from family and especially her brother and sister mom and dad. She is always smiling. We don't know what we would do without her. We are so grateful she is in our family! Rebecca's First Steps

Rebecca took her first steps on friday January 25th. She didn't even know she was walking I think because both hands were holding toys and she just started walking. So exciting! This is a video of her the next day. She is now walking all over the house. Yeah Becca Boo!

For Madison's party we went to the U of U gymnastics meet. The girls enjoyed it! We had cake and icecream and opened presents. Then madison's friends slept over. AHHHH! No it wasn't that bad. Just a few fights! They went to bed around midnight. It was nice to have them down in the basement so I didn't hear them singing in the middle of the night. Overall Madison had a good birthday! We will miss our little Zoey. Well maybe not me as much. I was never a dog lover or really any animal lover. So giving Zoey away wasn't as hard for me as everyone else. We wanted to get a dog so maybe the kids would get over their fear of dogs and so now the kids aren't afraid of dogs so there is no need right? Anyway the family thinks I am the devil dog giver awayer. But I don't have to pick up poop or throw up or throw away the kids underwear cause Zoey chewed on them and many more things. Yes the kids and Jeff helped out a little but really I was the one who took care of her and I just couldn't anymore. So we have given her to a friend that will take good care of her and also has a shitzu and so she will have a little dog bff.

Family Christmas Party

We had Jeff's side of the family Christmas party at our house. We fit everyone in very tightly but we are family and we love each other. We had soup and rolls and yummy dessert! We enjoyed everyone that came and missed those that couldn't make it. The adults didn't exchange gifts this year instead we did a service project. All of the families met at the food bank and put together boxes of food and other items people needed. Then we loaded up and delivered the food and items to peoples homes that were in need of them. We all worked together and had a good feeling at the end of the night that Christmas isn't all about gifts but about our Savior Jesus Christ and being like him by helping and serving others. I think we will be doing this every year.

Christmas morning! The kids were so excited! Clayten told us he was going to jump on us in the morning and yell wake up it is Christmas. So Jeff and I woke up before them and we were waiting for Clayten to come and jump on us. So when we heard they were coming into our room we pretended we were sleeping and the kids just stared at us for a minute and finally I opened my eyes and they were just standing there. I said how come you didn't jump on us and he said because Becca was in the bed next to me. Ha Ha! The kids sure had fun opening their presents and it was fun watching them open them too. Rebecca was happy and just sat there and watch the kids and would go over to their stuff and play with it and push boxes around the front room and occasionally try to open a present of hers. Good times! Later that day we had a yummy turkey dinner with Jeff's parents. We Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Here is Rebecca playing with Madison's candy.

Our friends from Arizona came into town for the weekend. We hadn't seen them for awhile so we enjoyed having them at our house. It made me miss Arizona especially during this cold winter. They were able to go skiing, we saw the lights at temple square and took a stroll down main street in park city. We had a fun time! The lights were spectacular as usual. It was snowing and so cold but that didn't matter. The temple is so beautiful!

I am a little behind on blogging but I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving day! We sure did. We had Jeff's Aunt Janice and Uncle Ron, his second parents over thursday and enjoyed their company for turkey day. The food was so yummy! The kids enjoyed playing baseball outside with Grandpa Ron. Then we had Jeff's side of the family Thanksgiving dinner on saturday at his brothers house. So we are a little turkeyed out. But oh the food was good!

Clayten's 6th Birthday Party

Clayten turned 6 years old on September 25th. We went to Classic skating and the kids had fun playing on the bouncy slides. They could have slept over if we would have let them. Clayten picked out his cake. The cake that had a toy motorcycle. What they have for kids these days!

The First Day of School

Yeah! The kids are back to school. I was running out of ideas to keep the kids busy during the summer. They are loving school and their teachers. I am always worried if they are going to like their teachers because I remember in grade school how I hated some of my teachers. Madison is in 2nd grade and Clayten is in Kindergarten. "Finally I'm in Kindergarten," he said the first day of school. He has been going to preschool for two and a half years. His birthday is September 25th so he missed the deadline. He wishes he could go all day like his big sister so he could have more recess and eat lunch at the school. It is nice to have alone time with Rebecca for a few hours in the morning. The kids are so excited when I go and pick them up, not to see me, but to see Rebecca. Everyday the first thing they say is "Hello Rebecca I missed you, mom did she miss me?" Oh yes honey she missed you so much. It is fun to see the love they have for her and how much they miss their baby sister. This photo makes it look like Clayten is taller than Madison but she is still an inch taller than her brother. Poor girl she has her moms height.

Lynn Family Reunion

The Lynn Family reunion was at Cherry Hills. I haven't been there for nine years and boy it has changed but they did some nice improvements. The kids loved going down the slides. We went down a few times with them but couldn't keep up so we just watched them go down by themselves. The older cousins got a train going in the lazy river of about 20 people. That was cool to see! We had a scavenger hunt for the kids and a yummy lunch at Marshall and Jill's house the next day. Who by the way put this reunion together and did a swell job. We all enjoyed being together. It was an awesome reunion!

We went to scofield and camped over night and went fishing the next day. The only fish we caught that day. How sad:( But we sure had fun being together.

We went to Lake Powell the 4th of July weekend. I am a little slow on posting. Sorry! Stayed on Jeff's brothers houseboat. We left Madison and Clayten with their cousins. It would have been nice to leave Becca but she is still attached if you know what I mean. I love Lake Powell! It is my favorite thing to do in the summer.

Jackson Hole Family Vacation

The end of June we went to Jackson Hole Wyoming for a week. That is why I missed the Reunion. Ya Ya I am sure you all missed me. Anyway, we had a blast! My brother Glenn came with his wife Amber, their son Carter, and Ambers parents Trish and Calvin. We went shopping, went white water rafting, enjoyed the Bar J wranglers, went to a rodeo, drove through The Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone Park. It was nice to get away and relax!

Clayten has been playing soccer this spring. He has one more game. Thank goodness cause I want to go back to sleeping in on saturdays. J/K I love watching him play. He started out not so aggressive but has improved. Two weeks ago he scored. Yeah! And last week he scored again. Go Buddy! I was so proud of him!! After he scored he ran up to me and said when do we go to the store and buy me a toy mom. Ha Ha!! I forgot I told him a couple weeks ago if he scores a goal I will take him to the store and let him pick out any toy. Man my kids remember everything I say. It doesn't hurt to bribe him a little bit....Right?

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day Weekend we went to a cabin in Hannah. It was rainy but the kids had fun! We went on paddle boats and kayaks. The kids enjoyed throwing rocks into the pond and fishing with their dad. It was Rebecca's first vacation!
